SHRMA Receives EXCEL Award for 2020 Accomplishments

SHRM Partners for Mentoring Program

KS State Council of SHRM Board has developed a partnership with KS Dept. of Corrections to build a Mentoring Program, which is their Workforce Readiness initiative.  Cindy Villarreal, Dept. of Corrections,  briefly talked about Second Chance Employment & shared a Reentry video, which speaks a little about this effort, as follows;  https://csgjusticecenter.org/resources/videos/face-to-face-kansas-governor-laura-kelly/. Cindy will also be one of our Diversity Day speakers.

Recruit Salina Event

Plan to attend Recruit Salina on Friday, April 30th from 8am to 11am.  This is a special event as Imagine Salina launches their support tools and resources for area employers and HR managers.  They will be facilitating conversations among participants on talent attraction and retention, and how Salina can continue to position ourselves as a premiere location to work, live, learn and play.  Register for this free event at:  www.imaginesalina.com/recruit-salina .
